ESP U21 0-2 ENG U21
England Under-21′s have assured a spot in the semi-finals of the tournament after a convincing display saw them beat their Spanish counterparts 2-0.
Fraizer Campbell and James Milner struck second-half goals to see The Young Lions win the game.
Campbell capitalised on a defensive mistake to turn Javi Garcia and hammer a left-foot shot in from 18 yards. Milner wrapped it up 5 minutes later by slotting in after stunning work down the left from Theo Walcott, a second-half substiute, who’s omission from the line-up taised a few eyebrows.
Milner had earlier seen a penalty brilliantly saved by Sergio Asenjo, but it did not prove to be costly for England.
After the Germans’ 2-0 win over Finland, They (Germany) are also all but through on 4 points. Spain must hope that England win on Monday to stand any chance of advancing.
