BOLTON 3-3 MANCHESTER CITY

Manchester City were forced to show a more resiliant side on Saturday as they came from behind three times to salvage a point at Bolton. Croatian striker Ivan Klasnic opened the scoring with a goal that was fortunate not to be given as offside (11′), before Carlos Tevez hit back with a deflected effort (28′).
Next, it was two defenders getting in on the act in quick succession, with England hopeful Gary Cahill becoming Bolton’s top scorer for the season (4 goals) with a finish worthy of a world-class striker (43′). Micah Richards levelled, though, finishing a good team move to make it 2-2 (45+2′).
In the second half, Klasnic made sure that he was definately on the scoresheet, after a successful turn and shot (53′), and Tevez also claimed his second of the match with a drilled shot into the bottom corner (77′). This happened in-between the controversial sending off (in the 65th minute) of Craig Bellamy, given a second booking after being wrongly accused of diving by the referee (Mark Clattenburg), who was later criticised by City manager Mark Hughes for his mistake.
Both teams had their opportunities to gain a clear advantage in the end, but mistakes seemed to prove costly, especially for Bolton, and the result was a point each.
