The recent chill has continued today, and has affected 23 games in the top 4 divisions.
In the Premier League, Portsmouth v Manchester City and Fulham v Blackburn have been postponed because of frozen pitches.
Championship matches at Blackpool, Cardiff, Doncaster and Plymouth also fell victim to the weather.
The League One and Two programmes have been badly hit, while the FA Trophy and Scottish Cup were also affected.
In League One the games at Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham, Oldham, Scunthorpe, Southend, Swindon, Tranmere and Walsall were called off.
9 League Two fixtures were hit, with the games at Accrington, Bournemouth, Chesterfield, Dagenham & Redbridge, Gillingham, Grimsby, Luton, Macclesfield and Shrewsbury all lost to the freezing conditions.
In the Scottish Cup, Inverurie Locos and Brechin have had to postpone their big dates with Motherwell and St Mirren respectively, Forfar v Forres was also postponed.
11 games in the FA Trophy will also have to be rescheduled, with only 3 games getting the go-ahead.
Below this level around Britain, only a minority of scheduled games are being played.
